The Importance of Caring About Your Business
At BPI, we definitely understand that you care about your business. Your business is your livelihood, your passion, and something that you’ve worked towards your whole life. However, if you’re not online and promoting your business from the inside, your potential customers may not be able to see that you care about your business. If your potential customers don’t think that you care about your business, why should they care about your business? To make your business stand out from the rest of the online crowd, here are few effective tips and tricks:
- Manage a blog – Keeping your customers and potential customers updated on your business through a blog is the perfect way to really show that you care about what you do. Talk about community events you’ve been involved in, the latest technology or products at your office, or even just your thoughts on the local high school football game. By regularly posting on your blog, your potential customers will see that you are actively involved in and care about your business. This also applies to posting on Facebook, Twitter, and other social networks.
- Respond to online reviews – Unfortunately, not every review for your business is positive. However, you can make a negative review positive by the way you respond to it. Writing a response that respectfully attempts to address the customer’s concerns will benefit both you and the customer in the long run. You make the customer happy by reaching out to him or her and you may get some good ideas about how to run your business more effectively. In addition, people tend to gravitate towards companies that try to make things right.
- Give existing customers a reason to visit your website again and again – Having a “one-visit website” is not good for your business in more ways than one. One-visit sites seem stale and dated (you know exactly what type of site I’m talking about). If you don’t seem to care enough to make your website engaging or useful, people aren’t going to think you care about your business at all. On the other hand, sites that are continually updated through a blog or that have useful functions that customers use often such as “Request an Appointment” or “Shop” tend to gain more traffic, which makes them seem more relevant to search engines, who then rank the site higher, so more people can find them online, resulting in more potential customers visiting the site, and on and on the cycle goes. Phew!
There are a lot of ways to show that you care about your business online, and these are just a few of them. If you would like to learn more about how to effectively promote your business online, then contact Business Promotion at design@bpiwd.com today!
