Facebook Likes

Now that we’ve got your attention, why exactly are Facebook likes important? Well, let me explain about something called a “chain reaction.” When one person “likes” your business’s page or a picture or post on your page, that page, picture, or post will show up on all of their friends’ timelines.

To make this simple, let’s say that each person on Facebook has 10 friends. Each of these 10 people will see your page on their wall. If just 2 or 3 out of those 10 people like your page, then your page will be posted on the timeline of each of their friends. That’s another 20-30 people! This pattern continues exponentially throughout the world of Facebook.

It’s been estimated that each person on Facebook has about 130 friends on average. With numbers like that, getting genuine likes on Facebook is not something you want to ignore! One of the simplest ways to keep your Facebook page relevant and on your potential clients’ minds is by consistently updating your Facebook page. You could run a promotion, just like us, inviting people to like your page. What is interesting, progressive, or relevant about your business? Make sure you let your Facebook friends know! You can even post clever, cute, witty, funny, or inspiring pictures or posts to show that your business is run by people, not machines.

Never underestimate the power of relating to and connecting with your potential clients through Facebook. This can create a loyal base of clients that will trust you and your company for years to come.  (You can learn more about the importance of trust here.) Now that you know a little bit more about the importance of Facebook likes for your business, what are you waiting for? Get started working on your Facebook page today! And, as always, send an email to design@bpiwd.com today if you are interested in learning more!
